Fruit Fly Trap

My fruit fly trap doesn’t catch all fruit flies. I’m still finding small flies on my fruit, despite of the trap I’ve set in the kitchen.

Please place the trap directly beside your fruit. The bottle emits a vapour with the odour of a special vinegar mixture which attracts the fruit flies. In the summer months, overripe fruit should be disposed of quickly to prevent fruit flies from multiplying.

Window Fly Trap

Why should your product "Window Fly Trap" not be used on inclined skylights?

Inclined skylights are generally exposed to more intense sunlight, which can lead to high temperatures on the windowpanes, partially liquefying the glue on the trap. Small drops of glue can then form on the heated surface and may fall due to gravitational forces. In order to avoid the soiling of an attached roller blind or carpet positioned under the window, we advise against the use of the product on inclined skylights.

Fly Catcher

The Fly Catcher has been hanging for several days now, but there are still a lot of flies flying around the living room.

Better catch results can sometimes be achieved by changing the position of the Fly Catcher. Flies mainly use their eyesight to orientate themselves and are attracted to contrasts between light and dark, hence the attraction of the spiral-shaped sticking tape. However, it is possible that its attraction can be weakened by other environmental stimuli. Generally speaking, the Fly Catcher is a product that works over the longer term. It should not be expected to immediately kill all the flies in a room, such as when using an insecticide spray for example.

When taking down the Fly Catcher it accidentally became caught in my daughter’s hair. What is the fastest way to remove the glue?

Cooking oil (e.g. olive oil) is very effective for removing the glue. The hair should then be washed thoroughly twice using shampoo.

Ant Bait Station*

What is the easiest way to open up the side holes of the bait station?

The bait stations can be opened using a sharp object on the oval markings indicated. Do not apply the object (e.g. scissors) to the middle of the oval marking but directly on the raised, pre-punched line around the outside. It is easiest to push in the openings at this point.

Long-Term Moth Protection*

The white tablet has dissolved earlier than 6 months. Is the product still effective?

Yes, the product is still effective. Unfortunately the tablet dissolves quicker in temperatures above 26 °C. However, the effect of the Aeroxon Long-Term Moth Protection is not affected.

Mouse Trap

I put a piece of cheese on the mouse trap. It had gone the next day but the mouse trap had not been triggered. How is that possible?

The piece of cheese may not have been fixed firmly enough onto the latch so that the mouse was able to lift it off easily. Our tip: dribble a little honey or chocolate spread on the latch and “stick” a piece of cheese or ham onto it.
